This policy explains what FILE2FAB, LLC (“FILE2FAB”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit file2fab.com or get in touch, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
What you send us
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message, plus anything else you fill in: your company, the service you need, your budget and any files you attach. When you email or call, we receive what you choose to share, along with your email address or phone number.
What the site collects on its own
We use Google Analytics to see how people use the site. It sets cookies and records the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser, and your approximate location, down to the city. It also counts clicks on our phone number and email address, and contact form submissions. We look at these numbers in aggregate, not to identify you.
Our hosting provider records technical details with each visit, such as your IP (internet protocol) address, your browser and the pages you request, to run and protect the site. A spam filter checks each contact form submission.
How we use it
- To answer you, quote your project and, if we work together, do the work.
- To keep the business and tax records the law requires.
- To see which pages help visitors, and to keep the site secure.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Who else sees it
- Service providers that host the site, deliver our email, store files and run analytics, each only for that job.
- Specialists on your project, under a non-disclosure agreement, and only after we tell you.
- Anyone the law requires us to tell, such as a court or a government agency.
Google Analytics
Google collects the analytics data above on our behalf. We block Google’s advertising cookies and advertising data on this site. Google’s own privacy policy governs how Google uses the analytics data, which can include what it learns from other sites that use Google services.
Visitors in Europe see a cookie banner first, and analytics cookies stay off unless they accept. Anyone can change that choice with the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page. You can also install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on or block cookies in your browser.
Do Not Track
Browsers send Do Not Track signals in different ways and no common standard exists, so this site does not respond to them. The opt-out add-on and your cookie settings still work.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries and project records as long as we need them to answer you, do the work and meet tax and legal record-keeping rules. If we never work together, you can ask us to delete your inquiry at any time.
Your choices
Email hello@file2fab.com to see what we hold about you, to correct it or delete it, or to ask us to stop contacting you. When you ask us to delete it, we delete everything except what the law requires us to keep.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection, and we limit who can reach what you send. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send passwords or payment card numbers through the site or by email.
Children
This site is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Visitors outside the United States
We run FILE2FAB from Los Angeles. If you contact us from another country, your information travels to the United States, where we handle it.
Changes
When we change this policy, we post the new version here and update the date at the top of the page.
